All of our breeding dogs are on site, fully DNA health tested, registered through AKC, ASCA and/or ASDR, up-to-date on vaccinations and raised in a loving environment. They are primarily housed in our large barn with open access to very large fenced in areas with toys to play with and plenty of room to run.
Our puppies are whelped in our home and transitioned to our barn at 4-5 weeks old. They are socialized every day and given lots of love.
Their tails are docked and rear dew claws are removed between 3-5 days of age. They are dewormed every two weeks and receive their first vaccination at approximately 7 weeks of age. Before they go to their furever homes they are microchipped and receive a health evaluation by our vet.
Additionally, we provide weekly photo updates and periodic videos so you can follow your puppies growth and development. You also receive a take-home bag of goodies to help your new pup make themselves at home with their new family.
Our puppies are usually ready to go home at 8 weeks of age but are always evaluated by us at Deubella and by our vet to ensure they are ready.
Deubella Australian Shepherds are cared for and loved by Eric Deuble, Jennifer Stella, Sophia Stella and Ariana Stella.
Eric is the full time primary care-giver and tackles the many improvement projects on the ranch to keep the aussies (and aussie mom) happy! 😉 He loves cuddling puppies and watching all dog play. He’s captures great photos and videos of the Deubella pack and is the night -watchman when we have an expectant mother that is due or a newborn litter.
Jennifer works full time in the banking industry but fills the rest of her time with her human kids and fur sweeties. She loves whelping the puppies when she can and manages records, customer interactions, inventory and assists with others daily operations as available.
Sophia and Ariana are twins but have different interests and roles they enjoy on the ranch. Sophia often helps give the dogs food and water and especially enjoys playing with the puppies. Ariana helps with grooming and training and especially enjoys spending time with the older dogs.
We all take great pride in our Aussies and get enormous joy living amongst them!
When we first moved from the city to the country we talked about getting a herd of goat since Eric has a passion for and experience with them. We also talked about getting a dog that would be good with goats and decided on an Aussie. In order to have time to give the pup some basic training before being around goats we got the pup first.
We instantly fell is love with her and quickly fell in love with the breed as well. So much so that we got another, then another and well we didn’t stop there. And before we knew it we had forgotten about the goats and decided we wanted to breed our aussies to provide other families with the great experience we have had and continue to have with our Aussies.
Once we decided to breed we started doing our research and after learning from our own mistakes found a wonderful mentor and got ourselves on the right track. We feel health testing is extremely important for the well-being of our dogs and their puppies. We also think it’s very important to give our dogs as normal of a life as possible which is why we give them lots of room to run an play and spend time with them daily.
